Harvest Church of God Ethiopia is registered under the Government of Ethiopia to provide integrated ministry on a national basis. Besides the spiritual ministry throughout the country, the Church has been developing a number of different works and has the vision to accomplish more. One of the areas where the church is focusing it’s resources at the moment is Arsi Zone for planting churches and development.
Harvest Church of God Ethiopia is one of the evangelical churches in Ethiopia. The Church, established in 1991, now has over 28,000 members and 100+ local churches in Addis Ababa and other parts of the country. In view of its holistic commitment, the church is involved in social activities both in the rural and urban areas of the country.
Considering the need of children’s education throughout the country, the Church has a plan to establish kindergarten and cycle one schools under every local church. Up to now, there are 40 kindergartens and 2 cycle one schools, with over 3,800 students in Addis Ababa, Sidama, Arsi and other areas.
The Church also runs two Bible Schools for the purpose of training pastors and youth workers. The church’s major focus and strength is the children and the youth ministry.
Ethiopia is a nation of young people. Thus, our passion is seeing this next generation discipled for Jesus Christ. Without a shadow of a doubt, Ethiopia’s greatest resource and greatest need lies within these young people.
